From the western region of Huehuetenango, grown at 1400 to 2200 MASL. Selected for its dynamic character with varieties of Bourbon, catimor, catarra, maragogype and Pache. This coffee has scored 84 to 87 on the cupping scale. Waykan in the Maya Q’qnjobal dialect means “star” or “ light that shines in the sky at night” . 80% of the local economy is driven by the indigenous population in coffee production.
